Assut Europe S.p.A. is an Italian company founded in 1991 that works at around the world through different commercial offices based in Italy, France, Spain, England, Russia, Belarus, South America, USA, Tunisia and Algeria. The company has a lot of interest in research and development activities addressed to different surgical specialties (for example: general surgery, vascular surgery, cardio surgery, thoracic surgery and orthopedic surgery). During last years Assut Europe S.p.A. has expanded and diversified its supply, paying particular attention to details important for different markets. The production site, located in Magliano dei Marsi (AQ) has an extension of more than 10.000 m2 and within there are a lot of hi-tech instrument for the realization of surgical suture and medical devices, right now is also present a research and development site. In 2014 a collaboration was established between Assut Europe S. p. A. and TissueGraft Team that foresee the development of hernia patches derived from decellularized bovine pericardium. Right now Assut Europe S. p. A. is funding part of TissueGraft research about biological matrices.

SIMCRI: Italian society of polyspecialist regenerative medicine and surgery.
This society promotes the research in every field of polyspecialist regenerative medicine and surgery encouraging the dissemination of culture through scientific meetings in Italy and Europe and scientific publications. This society will follow TissueGraft during Clinical Trials in Italy.
The Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “G. Natta” of Politecnico di Milano gathers about 100 researchers and professors who work in different research fields of chemistry, materials engineering and bioengineering. TissueGraft actively collaborates with prof. Silvia Farè and the Be2fore Laboratory, Biomaterials and Biofabrication for regenerative engineering. The laboratory mainly deals with the synthesis and modification of synthetic and natural polymeric materials, the fabrication of scaffolds for applications in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering fields through traditional processes, electrospinning and additive manufacturing, and morphological, chemical. physical and mechanical characterization.
L’Universitè Laval, located in Quebec City is the oldest research institute in Canada. Today has more than 350 courses and about. 40.000 students. With more than 300M$/ year of grants, Universitè Laval is a leader in scientific research and technology transfer. It counts more than 40 research centers, more than 600 patents and 25 spin-off.
The collaboration is active between TissueGraft and the Laboratory for Biomaterials and Bioengineering represented by Prof. Diego Mantovani: the laboratory is at the forefront for what concern the translational research and new application in the field of biomaterials.
Nobil Bio Ricerche srl is an ISO9001 and ISO13485 qualified company for the surface treatment and characterization of implantable medical devices. The company performs analysis and surface treatment of medical materials and is active in their characterization through chemico-physical and biological in vitro techniques. The core business is the surface treatment of dental implants (several hundreds of thousands per year), performed for dental implants producer companies. Beside this activity the company is now developing the production and commercialization of dental materials for bone regeneration.
Tecnolab del Lago Maggiore Srl is a laboratory of tests, investigations and measures located in the province of Verbania (Italy).
Tecnolab is an accredited laboratory by ACCREDIA (Lab No. 0991), which is a guarantee of impartiality and technical expertise for the benefit of the customer.
At Tecnolab we perform tests, measurements, studies and research in four main areas of technology: electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety (EMC), mechanical, materials and environmental.
Thanks to its experience, Tecnolab is proposed as a trading partner to companies wishing to test components and products for which are required specific tests, necessary for the verification of compliance with regulatory requirements but also customized according to specific needs. The transversality of the skills and the wide range of tools and equipment present at Tecnolab makes it possible to cover most of the needs of the customer through a transdisciplinary and innovative approach.
ISALIT is a spin-off of the Department of Science and Technological Innovation at the University of Piemonte Orientale. ISALIT has an equipped chemical laboratory with an high resolution mass spectrometer: the system comprised micro-liquid chromatography (Eksigent Technologies, Dublin, USA) interfaced with an high resolution 5600+ TripleTOF (AB Sciex, Concord, Canada ).
The instrumentation is particularly suitable for qualitative and quantitative proteomic analysis (with the label-free SWATH-MS mode) for metabolic analysis and for non-target studies and biomarker discovery. The system can also use the SWATH-MS for pseudo-MRM analysis on target proteins.
This instrumentation enables quantitative and qualitative analyses with extraordinary accuracy and sensitivity of biological, food and environmental samples. The ability to carry out rapid screening of many metabolites and proteins through HPLC-HRMS coupled with statistical data processing allows the identification of new bio-markers, drugs, and other molecules of interest. The analysis of biological fluids such as blood, serum, plasma, urine, saliva as well as tissues can be performed.
The ISALIT team uses bioinformatics software for pathway analysis, protein network interactions (enriched paths, biological functions, molecular functions, etc.) and multivariate analysis of large data with commercial statistical software and custom tool for validation of analytical methods and biomarkers .
ISALIT has specific expertise in the field of proteomics and metabolomics analysis and has a strong track record of collaboration with research institutes, universities and hospitals.
